Sindupalchok district was one of the most affected districts after the 2015 earthquake, but the district is also one of the most amazing places in terms of its hills, nature and population. A few months after the earthquake Ram Puri and friends organized the first Sindupalchok international trail race, through which the construction of 6 temporary learning centers in the surroundings of Thulo Sirubari was supported. The success of both the race and the projects supported through it made that we have organized an annual international trail race since, supporting access to water and the establishment of a foodbank. Last year, the Last Resort provided a brilliant finish.

The 5th edition of the Sindupalchok international trail race will take place on June 22nd, 2019. The 56 km runners will return to the start of the first edition and stay in the village of Thulo Sirubari, the 26 km runners will be driven to Jalbire. You will enjoy the hospitality and will be fueled with a good Dal Bhat in the evening after which the 56 km runners will be offered accommodation in the school that has since replaced the temporary learning center, and served fresh buckwheat bread (breakfast for champions!) in the morning from the bakery that is being supplied by the foodbank.

This is not the easiest of trail races but you will not regret getting to see a part of Nepal that you have not seen before and ending up sitting in the beautiful Last Resort, or even deciding to do some stretching by signing up for a bungy jump.
